ART EXHIBITION “THE PORTRAIT OF RUSSIAN FINE WORD” ARRANGES THE OPENING OF THE SEASON 2016

The art project "Portrait of Russian Fine Word" begins the third season.

In 2016 we will show several new thematic exhibitions in the halls of Moscow literary museums devoted to the Russian literature. According to the 2 previous years tradition, opening of the season will take place on July 30, 2016 in Marina Tsvetaeva's House museum in Moscow. We will present an exposition "The Russian Literature and the Crimea" in which the subject of a deep cultural and spiritual bond of the Crimea peninsula and the Russian literary and art thought will be reflected in works of several generations of artists of our project.

Along with an exhibition in Tsvetaeva's museum, we will present the second exposition "The Russian Literature and the Crimea" in the State museum - the humanitarian center "Preodoleniye" of N. A. Ostrovsky on Tverskaya Street, in the house historically connected with a name of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. Opening of an exhibition in Nikolay Ostrovsky's museum will take place on August 4, 2016.

At two parallel exhibitions of the project «The Portrait of the Russian Fine Word» devoted to the Crimea before the viewer will appear: Voloshin and Tsvetaeva, Chekhov and Tolstoy, Alexander Pushkin and Alexander Green, Vladimir Nabokov and Osip Mandelshtam, Gorky and Kuprin, Vasily Zhukovsky and many, many others.

Yalta, Koktebel, Gurzuf, Balaklava and Sevastopol; from ancient Chersonese to the Kerch port, from mountain top Ai-Petri (St-Peter) to the Kara Dag, from Bakhchisarai to the Old Crimea – all Crimean landscapes bear in themselves a particle of the Russian poetry, prose, painting and music.

From government of the Monarchess-empress Catherine the Great till today the best minds of Russian intelligentsia created and create here; here estates and patrimonial nests of Vorontsov and Naryshkin, Sheremetyev and Goncharov were built; here store honor of the Russian military glory since the time of Suvorov, Ushakov and Nakhimov, here continue to speak, read, write and think - in the Russian language.

At exhibitions of the project «The Portrait of the Russian Fine Word» painting and graphics, a monumental and chamber sculpture, an iconography and a miniature, medals and three-dimensional objects installations will be shown. Within the project there will pass poetic evenings of modern Russian poets and master classes of the famous modern artists.

To opening of the season 2016 the catalog of works of our constant participants will be published.

Our second thematic exhibition in 2016 is "The History of the Russian State in Persons", devoted to Nikolay Mikhaylovich Karamzin's 250 anniversary.

Since November 16, 2016 the exposition will be presented in Marina Tsvetaeva's House museum,
since December 1, 2016 in the museum- humanitarian centre "Preodoleniye" (“Overcoming”) of N. A. Ostrovsky.

At these exhibitions the portrait gallery of outstanding domestic creators, scientists and writers, poets and artists, statesmen and national rebels will be presented: from the Emperor Pavel I to the Emperor Nikolai II, from Mikhail Lomonosov and Nikolay Karamzin to Dmitry Likhachev and Alexander Solzhenitsyn; from the first printer Ivan Fedorov and the voivode Evpatiy Kolovrat to the most modern individuals and representatives of the national history and culture, and first of all – modern poets and writers of Russia.

At each our exhibition by all means there is also a gallery of Faces of Orthodox Saints - in the season 2016 at the exhibitions of the project «The Portrait of the Russian Fine Word» the viewer will see both an iconography and a miniature, and paintings and graphic works devoted to the Reverend Sergius of Radonezh and Patriarch Germogen, Arkhistratigu Mikhail and Holy Apostles, Prophet Eli and to the Archpriest Nikolay Guryanov; to Holy Virgin Mary and Christ Redeemer – may they remain always with us, keeping Russia.

Painters, graphics and sculptors wishing to present the works in exhibitions of the art project "Portrait of the Russian Fine Word" of a season 2016 can send an application on participation in the project to the following e-mail address:

In the application it is necessary to provide:

  • From 3 to 5 photos of author's works (with the indication of catalog data) on subjects:

    1. "The Russian Literature and Crimea"
    2. "History of the Russian State in Persons" - N. M. Karamzin's 250 anniversary

  • Short creative biography,
  • Photo of the author (or self-portrait)

Applications on participation in the project will be considered till June 30, 2016.
