On February 8, 2013, the Central Library named after N.A. Dobroliubov welcomes you to Presentation of Album “Alexandr Kibalnikov. Chronicles of Life and Creativity”. The Album was published in 2012 to commemorate the centennial of the outstanding Russian sculptor-monumentalist, People’s Artist of the USSR, Academician Alexandr Pavlovich Kibalnikov. In the chamber exhibition space of the Dobroliubov Library, paintings and graphic works from private collection of the Sculptor’s daughter, Valentina Alexandrovna Kibalnikova, photos and documents form archives, a photo-panel comprised of images of monumental works by the Sculptor will be displayed. Videos will be also demonstrated: newsreels from the N.G. Chernyshevskiy Museum Archieve in Saratov, pictorial review form V.A. Kibalnikova’s archeive, videos of round table meetings, vernisages, interviews with museum specialists, artists and Volgograd Cossacks who participated in the Project «In Memory of the Great Artist» in 2012.
Vigorous images created by the great Sculptor find way to any heart: at the end of 2012, several Russian cities suggested holding exhibitions, and the Project extension people in our country remember Alexandr Kibalnikov’s name.
Exhibition «IN MEMORY OF THE GREAT ARTIST» will open on the 8th of February, 2012, at 18:00, and be held until 27th of February, 2013, in the Central Library named after N.A. Dobroliubov: 13/21, Smolenskaya Ploshchad’, metro station Smolenskaya.
