Album Presentation: “Alexandr Kibalnikov. Chronicles of Life and Creativity” Round Work Table “Monumental Sculpture of the 20th Century”

On the 22nd of November, 2012 in the Museum and Exhibition Complex of Moscow State Academy Art Lyceum at the Russian Academy of Arts, presentation of the album “Alexandr Kibalnikov. Chronicles of Life and Creativity” and round work table “Monumental Sculpture of the 20th Century” were held in the framework of the exhibition IN MEMORY OF THE GREAT ARTIST.

Margarita Siourina, painter, corresponding member of the International Academy of Culture and Art, led the presentation. She introduced the creative team engaged in compiling the Album to the round work table participants attending the meeting in the Conference Hall of the Moscow State Academy Art Lyceum at the Russian Academy of Arts.

Artists, sculptors, art critics and museum specialists took part in discussing the theme “Monumental Sculpture of the 20th Century”:

monumentalist Piotr Stronsky and sculptor Alexands Ryabichev, art critic Sergey Orlov and specialist on local history Nikolay Alexeevich Yatsunov (Tsaritsyno Museum), artist Zourab Pachouliya and film director Soulambek Mamlayev, Olga Adrova observer of the ‘Echo of the Planet’ magazine and G.Petrosyan the head of the sculptor studio at Moscow State Academy Art Lyceum at the Russian Academy of Arts

Discussions of the suggested theme turned out interesting, rich in content… just happened to be like that, no matter how many participants there were. …Many of those invited but few selected.
Let us follow narrow paths, meet new friends, open new vistas.
Those in possession of good and honest memory are doomed to creativeness.
Only chimeras are born out of forgetfulness.
Sick and immoral mind gives rise to monsters.
Intellect gives birth to pieces of beauty,
to the future
and the present.
